Due to the time consuming nature of current cell/cell library update workflows, we would like to have a tool/process that could update all cells in a file at once. A response to a recent support request for this is as follows:
"There is not currently a tool to quickly change all the cells in a file to annotative and snappable. One option may be to use the ‘Replace Cells’ tool and update or replace the cells, however, following the video you have provided I do not believe this would be a viable workflow in your scenario. Alternatively, this may be able to be automated with a VBA. If you would like to see a tool enabling this functionality, I recommend filing this as an enhancement request on the Product Ideas Portal. Incase you are not yet aware, we have implemented a new method for filing enhancements in which you are able to post your enhancement request on the Products Ideas Portal. This portal allows for users to subscribe to any of the idea’s posted. By subscribing, you will receive all updates related to the request. Within the Ideas Portal, you can also vote on the ideas that you would like to see implemented. This allows for Bentley to see which enhancements are commonly requested by our users."
Thanks,
Vance Jones
